Hubby's Bday 30th June2010

Happy Bday My Charming Prince. You turn 50 this year. BUT always charm and handsome and stick in my heart.


Bake this 3 cakes - 2 red velvet and 1 chocolate cake. 2 cakes were sent to his office (red velvet and chocolate) and the balance 1(red velvet) for small celebrating in the house.




Spend almost the whole day from morning till 3pm baking, steaming and decorating the cakes. And finally managed to send to him by 3.30pm. Tiring but satisfaction is there when the cakes turned marverlous. Thumbs up to my first trial red velvet cake (square and round) Though the color didn't turn up right - not reddish...probably need to reduce the cocoa and add more red colouring.


But the end was happy when the cakes finished and got order for raya...
Had a small gathering by niece and nephews and grandson.


Ni siapa punya birthday niiii.....sibuk betul cucu kami ni...dia pun nak potong kek juga...



I baked, let people taste...and here comes the orders... Thanks Allah in opening the pintu rezeki for me...

RESEPInya di bawah....
(kiriman: Wawa)
Bahan-bahan:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup gula kastor
2 biji telur
2 cup tepung (saya guna tepung yg RM1.35 tu je...)
240ml buttermilk (buat sendiri - 240ml susu segar + 1 sudu cuka biasa dan biarkan selama 10min)
* saya beli buttermilk serbuk 50g - ambil 25g, campur dengan 1 cwn air biasa + 2 sudu besar cuka
biarkan selama 10 minit.
2 penutup pewarna merah - tak cukup merah rupanya, mungkin brand tak sama, kena bubuh ke 4 penutup
1 penutup esen vanilla
2 sudu penuh serbuk koko - saya sukat membukit...jadi kena kurangkan bukit tu
1 tbs serbuk penaik
1 tbs bikarbonat


Cara : Pukul gula + butter sampai kembang, masukkan telur - pukul lagi sampai kembang.
Kemudian, masukkan semua bahan seperti tepung, serbuk penaik dan bikarbonat, serbuk koko, pewarna merah & vanilla. Pukul rata sambil masukkan buttermilk sedikit demi sedikit.
Tuangkan dalam loyang dan bakar pada suhu 160°c sampai masak (lebih kurang 45min).


Topping Cream Cheese:

250g cream cheese (saya pakai Tatura)
2 sudu butter
3/4 cup gula kastor

Cara : campur semua dan pukul sehingga kembang. Sedia untuk dilepa pada Red Velvet kek anda.

Result: Sedap. dpt pujian, lembut... ngam dengan topping cheese kat atas...
Panduan: Warna tak lah jadi warna velvet merah...mungkin sebab koko lebih atau pewarna (brand tak sama) merah kurang... so kena main2 dgn adunan warna koko dan merah...untuk mendapatkan warna red velvet yang ngam...

Anniversary Cake, ordered by my sis, Suriana




Happy Anniversary Sis & Bad
This cake was ordered by my sis for her anniversary which falls on 6th June10. She ordered on friday(4th) managed to deliver on her anniversary. A simple decorated Buttercake.
Resepi:
3/4 cwn gula custor
1 ketul buttercup
5 biji telur
1 st ovellet
2 cwn tepung naik sendiri (self raising flour)
esen vanila
(optional: nak sedap lemak - blh tambah 1 sb susu manis)
chocolate rice - hiasan
Cara-
1. Pukul gula dan butter hingga gebu keputihan dan berkilat
2. Masukkan ovellet + esen vanila
3. Masukkan telur satu persatu
4. akhir sekali masukkan tepung
5. Masukkan ke dalam bekas tin, taburkan chocolate rice
6. Bakar selama 50 - 55 minit.

Cake ordered by officemate, Zuki, 3rd June10




This is a short notice ordered cake from my officemate (Zuki) yesterday(2nd June10) and delivered today (3rd June10). He ordered 2 cakes: 1 for marriage cake and another one for eating. Luckily he requested for simple deco. Taraaaaaaa...here it is.... as usual ..it's a chocolate cake, creamed with whipped dairy cream. slept late this morning as the baking and decorating ended at 3.00am this morning. Luckily my tide-up works put me awake! but I had a heavy headache...swallowed 2 panadols ..which I seldom do...only take 1 panadol...

Ordered Cake from my sister's friend 26th May10



My sister's office mate called for order. It's a short notice. Started to steamed the cake at 9.00pm 25th may10, Cool it down and started to decorate it at 11.00pm. And managed to complete it at 2am on 26th may10. Here it is a simple one. I tried new buttercream recepi from CakeCentral Blog, Inside is Chocolate moist steam cake.

Simple Buttercream Icing

Ingredients
1 stick softened butter1 tsp clear vanilla4 cups powdered sugar*Heavy whipping cream*Milk
Sab derhaka...(tak cukup bahan) ...cuma guna 1 tbsp susu manis...- sbb note dibawah kata...bahan ni hanya untuk pastikan konsistensi kepekatan cream je...
Instructions
Cream butter with vanilla on low-med. Add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time.Add milk/cream mix as needed to achieve desired consistency. Very Simple!!

NOTE:
a) I used 1/4 cup total of cream/milk mixture (1/2 cream 1/2 milk)
b) If you think this is too sweet, try adding about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp fine salt.I have had real good luck with adding salt to my butter cream to bring out the rich taste of the butter and cut down on the sweetness. Mix the crystal salt in the liquid such as vanilla.

Marble Mint Butter Cake


Bake this marble mint cake for testing.
Outcome not bad. Texture smooth.
Recipies:
Resepi:
1 butter (250g)
3/4 cwn gula custor
6 butir telur (biasanya 5 biji telur)
½ cb ovellate
1 cb susu manis
2 cwn tepung naik sendiri
1 penutup esen vanila (next time tak nak letak - kurang pulak terasa mint)
1 st emulco
5 titis pewarna hijau apple
1 penutup perisa mint

Cara2:
1. Pukul butter dan gula hingga kembang keputihan
2. Masukkan ovellate
3. masukkan telur satu persatu
4. masukkan susu + vanila
5. masukkan tepung kek sedikit demi sedikit
6. Asingkan kepada 2 bahagian
1 bahagian di campurkan dengan chocolate emulco
1 bahagian di warnakan dengan pewarna hijau(apple) + perisa mint
7. Marblekan selang seli setiap warna 2 camca besar,
letakkan chocolate emulco terlebih dahulu di tengah tin pembakar, diikuti warna hijau
Diakhiri dengan warna emulco.
8. Bakar pada suhu 180C selama 1 jam (ikut oven masing2)

Cook this Western Food for my nieces last Friday, 19th Mac10.
Cook Rosemary Chicken, Fried Chicken, Coleslaw, whipped potato and wedges.

Sofia Syahira Bday, 24th Mac2010

Ordered this cc from Balqis midnitecake of Taiping, in short notice of 2 days. Luckily accepted and delivered to my niece Sofia Syahira on her 17th. Bday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2U IRA!!!! mmmuah!!
The cake inside are chocholate and orange flavour. Hope she likes it. Do you Ira?

Fancy Cookies Class - 6th Mac2010


Attended this Fancy Cookies Class on 6th Mac2010 at PG CakeCentral. Glad to know new friends here...Hamidah, Kelly, July, and sorry can't recall another two friend's name.
Learn how to bake cookies for decoration. Prepare the glaze and the fondant to decorate on top of the cookies. Though tiring (from 10am - 6pm) but really enjoyed the class.
A lot of new things recovered from this class, including the shares of infos and tips. From bottom of the heart, thanks to Instructor Pn. Zareena who puts so much effort and patient with us and the rest participants companients. Happy Go Lucky and Cheerful Class ha!!! We really had fun!!

Make this B'day cake to my granddaughter Nur Ummairah on her 1st year Birthday.
Inside is strawberry cake, with freshcream and decorated with jelly and chocolate and gumpaste flower.

Nasi Ayam Penyet, 16th Feb10


Cook this Nasi Ayam Penyet ni on CNY, 16th Feb10.
Coment: overall 4 stars!...
need to reduce on the shrimp cake quantity...
the chicken - superb
the sauce gravy - It should be slightly thicken than what I did,
as seen in the photo, quite watery.

Nasi Ayam Penyet (Sumber: Norshamiza)
Bahan-bahan ( 6 orang )

Untuk Ayam
1 ekor ayam – potong 8 bahagian, rebus selama 10 minit dan toskan (simpan air rebusan ayam untuk buat sup)-kite guna air nie jgk utk masak nasik
½ sudu besar Jintan Manis – goreng tanpa minyak hingga naik bau
½ sudu besar Jintan Putih – goreng tanpa minyak hingga naik bau
3 sudu besar Biji Ketumbar – goreng tanpa minyak hingga naik bau
1 sudu besar Serbuk Kari Ayam
1 sudu besar Serbuk Kunyit
½ sudu besar Serbuk Lada Putih
3 ulas Bawang Putih
1cm Halia
Sedikit Air
1 sudu kecil Garam
Minyak masak untuk menggoreng.

Untuk Sambal

Sedikit minyak masak
10 batang Cili merah (lebihkan jika mahu lebih pedas)
10 biji Cili padi
10 biji Bawang kecil/merah, hiris
3 biji Bawang putih, hiris
5 biji Tomato, potong 4
5 cm Belacan
2 sudu Ikan Bilis-kite lebihkan cikit
3 sudu gula merah/secukup rasa

Untuk Nasi
(untuk nasi, klu rasa leceh nak buat...makan dengan nasi putih pun boleh)

3 cawan beras dibasuh dan ditoskan
3 ulas bawang putih
satu btg kayu manis
4 biji buah pelaga
2 kuntum bunga lawang
sedikit butter
garam
kiub pati ayam/daging
6 cawan air rebusan ayam (yg disimpan td)

Cara-cara:
1. Untuk Ayam Penyet

2.Masukkan kesemua bahan (kecuali minyak masak) dalam pengisar, kisar hingga halus.
3.Lumur bahan yang telah dikisar pada ayam dan perap semalaman.-perap lama2 cenggini best.
4.(Simpan bahan kisar yang berlebihan untuk goreng tempe dan tahu.)- kite tadak tauhu/tempe. Tak buat.
5.Setelah perap semalaman, golek-golekkann pada tepung beras.
6.Panaskan minyak dan goreng hingga garing.

7. Untuk sambal

8.Panaskan minyak. Goreng ikan bilis hingga garing/rangup. Angkat dan ketepikan.
9.Goreng belacan seketika Angkat dan ketepikan.
10.Masukkan bawang merah, bawang putih dan cili. Setelah layu, masukkan tomato. Gaul rata dan tutup api. Angkat dan ketepikan.
11.Sejukkan semua bahan yang telah digoreng pada suhu bilik.
12.Masukkan kesemuanya ke dalam pengisar atau lesung batu. Kisar atau tumbuk sehingga separa halus.
13.Masukkan semua bahan tumbuk ke dalam periuk dan panaskan.
14.Masukkan gula merah dan gaul rata.
15.Rasa sambal yang terhasil, tambah garam atau gula merah jika perlu mengikut citarasa.* Sambal boleh disediakan sehari sebelum hidangan sajian. Simpan sambal dalam peti sejuk. Panaskan sambal sebelum disajikan.

16.Untuk Sup

17.Masukkan garam secukup rasa pada air rebusan ayam.-kite tambah ayu manis, bunga lawang, pelaga dan ketumbar (boleh masukkan terus sup bunjut kalo ade).
18.Panaskan sebelum dihidangkan. Tabur hirisan daun sup dan daun bawang pada sup semasa disajikan.

19.Untuk Nasi

20.Panaskan butter. Tumis bawang putih, kayu manis, bunga lawang dan buah pelaga sehingga wangi.
21.Masukkan beras yg dah ditoskan. Kacau lebih kurang 3-5 minit.
22.Masukkan air rebusan ayam, garam dan kiub ayam/daging. Tunggu sehingga menggelegak sedikit.
23.Pindah ke periuk nasi letrik dan masak macam biasa.

Kek Suji




Tried to bake this Suji Cake which is to be my hubby favourite cake.
Yahoo! Satisfied. All the while I've been ordering it. Now I can make it. The best part is, it was not that hard to make one... Here it is...

Suji Cake Resepinya:
Sumber: Kumpulan Hidangan Kek oleh Nor Aini Zakaria

250g buttercup
100g + 2 sudu besar gula
4 butir telur merah + 2 butir telur
esen vanila

130g tepung suji
100g tepung serbuk badam
2 camca besar badam nibs (butiran)
60 g tepung naik sendiri

Cara:
Pukul butter dan gula hingga kembang (putih berkilat)
masukkan telur satu persatu sehingga habis
masukkan esen vanila
Akhir sekali masukkan campuran tepung suji, badam dan tepung naik sendiri
Biarkan selama 1 jam untuk biarkan suji kembang
Bakar pada suhu 180 selama 50 minit. (agak garing kat atas... mungkin boleh kurangkan masa ke 45 minit...akan cuba len kali)
